1.5 Accomplishments

1.5.1 Exhibitions

1. ‘Te der’ e huj – photography exhibition by Shpatina Fejzullahu, dedicated to female empowerment and tackling gender role issues. The photos were taken in the cultural space. The exhibition stayed open for 10 days. – September 25, 2018

2. Arkitektura Tradicionale – photography exhibition about traditional architecture in Tetovo and raising awareness about preserving old buildings. A collaboration between our volunteers and students of architecture in the University of Tetova. The exhibition stayed open for 10 days. – November 2018

3. TetovaStreetPhoto [Ekspozitë] & Guðrún Mobus Bernharðs [Perf.] – a social media campaign, where 15 photographs from the streets of our city were chosen for the exhibition with the same name which stayed open for 10 days. Also we had a guest from Iceland do an audio visual performance.  – May 2019

4. Ekspozitë me piktura dhe vizatime nga Aida Sinani’ –  an exhibition with drawings and paintings by Aida Sinani, a local student and painter. – November 30, 2019

1.5.2 Workshops

1. ‘Cinematic Workshop “Ethnophoby”’– stopmotion animation workshop with the animator Joan Zhonga which lasted 5 days, during which local movie enthusiasts and students learned about making a set, photography and participated in the tiff Oda festival, since it was a collaboration.

2. Jetët Bardh e Zi / Црно-бели животи / Black and White lives’- Comic book workshop and exhibition inspired by refugee experiences in collaboration with RED center, Skopje. Remained open for 10 more days after the workshop and comics were handed out for free. – October 2018

3. Krijojmë instrumente autentike Muzikore – We create authentic instruments – a workshop for building music instruments with Pedro Cadore Winter,  a classical guitarist from Brazil who is active in the creation of experimental music. The workshop lasted 3 days, from Friday to Sunday where we had the chance to hear the instrument and a performance of Pedro on his guitar and create a new instrument called “Kryqtelia”, invented for our space. – October 2018

4. ‘Never go full retard with c# and javascript!’ – Technology and IT workshop. – November 10, 2019 

5. ‘Stopmotion Animation & Stenciling Workshop’– Part of the annual festival ‘Krejt ka pak III’ which was a one day activity and took place in Termokiss, Kosovo. The workshop was about stenciling which followed with a presentation of short stop motion animation, which is part of our movie club activities. – December 2018

6. Placemaking -a workshop about digital ideas for urban intervention in our city Tetovë. Local digital artists, architects, designers and our volunteers collaborated for a month, until the exhibition. The works were the result of the workshop, aimed at observing, analyzing and managing to visualize a different atmosphere of our city’s public spaces, enabling citizens to look at another way of handling these places. – May 2019

7. Traces in Space: Theatre Workshop / Punëtori Teatri – a physical theatre workshop and performance on commitment, led by Tamara Lysek and Jean Francois Meuwly. It lasted from 23 July until the 27th. The presentation was on the last day, where the participants of the workshop prepared an experimental theatrical performance. – July 2019.
